Barriers of the BZ type are not coupled to each other. They are very suitable for use in tunnels and on viaducts. The BZ barrier then serves as a crash barrier to protect the construction behind it. The BZ barrier is based on the principle that it ‘may' collapse in case of a collision, as long as the construction behind it remains protected.
